Freshman forward Marcus Littles looks to pass during a game against Virginia earlier this season.

Freshman forward Marcus Littles will transfer out of the men’s basketball program.

Littles is no longer listed on the team’s 2019-20 season roster and the forward confirmed he plans to transfer in a text message last week.

Littles said he “unfortunately” will not be attending GW next academic year.

The 6-foot-9-inch forward played in 24 of the squad’s 33 contests this season, averaging 1.9 points per game and 1.2 rebounds per game.

The transfer marks the third player to leave the team since the athletic department fired former head coach Maurice Joseph last month. Freshman guard Shandon Brown and sophomore guard Terry Nolan Jr. will also transfer out of the program.

Freshman forward Mezie Offurum is the only recruit from the freshman class this year that will continue his career as a Colonial. GW is set to return 10 players for the 2019-20 season under newly hired head coach Jamion Christian.
