The gymnastics team secured its best start in program history with a victory over Bowling Green on Sunday. The Colonials remain undefeated at 9-0 with the 194.775-193.025 win over the visiting Falcons.
GW (4-1) outscored host Bowling Green by 20 points in the second half, finishing with a 77-56 victory and sweeping their third game in as many days in Ohio.
The upcoming season will be the first under Lonergan, and GW will play 14 of their 30 regular-season games at the Smith Center. Of those 14, six will feature opponents that reached the postseason, including NCAA Tournament teams UAB, Richmond and Xavier.
