This organization has existed and passed down its customs for many generations before me, and I hope it will remain for many generations after.

One of the first things I was told when I joined The Hatchet was that you will get out of it as much as you put into it.
Throughout the past three years, The Hatchet has always been there for me as a community I knew I could fall back on for support and inspiration.
As I move on to the next stage of my life, I can’t sit around waiting for the stories to write themselves.
It’s easy to criticize and tear down, but offering praise and building up is harder – I’ve found my voice trying to do just that.
The Hatchet began as a way for me to find community and helped me find creative fulfillment in leading the opinions section.
I want to reflect on my time at GW, and on The Hatchet, through a few simple quotes that embody my time here.
