Points, as the monetary units the GW plan uses are called, revert back to GW and Aramark with the end of final exams prompting many students – especially those with a substantial amount left over – to ask why. The system set up by Aramark and GW is unfair to students and should be changed […]

University Police created a new permanent Emergency Medical Response Group coordinator position in April in an attempt to strengthen and expand the EMeRG program, said Dolores Stafford, director of University Police. A panel of staff and student EMeRG leaders selected Ryan Miller last month to serve as the new coordinator. Miller is a graduate student […]
GW men’s varsity crew coach Gene Kininmonth’s reaction to Saturday’s Atlantic 10 rowing championships: “It was the oddest thing. The women’s races finished, and all the starting officials simply packed up to go home. Who did they think was going to start our races, the fish?”
Mike Gargano, assistant vice president of Student and Academic Support Services, said Wednesday that GW reversed its decision to recognize Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, after students objected to GW bypassing the Interfraternity Council’s role in recommending new fraternities. Administrators acted responsibly in backing away from an attempt to force the Greek-letter community to accept a […]
A new $16.2 million 30,000-square foot GW Law School construction project at 20th and G streets is scheduled for completion by early to mid-October after bad weather caused construction delays, GW officials said. The building is the first of three construction phases, which will eventually expand the school to a 250,000 square feet. The E […]

Sample items available for bidding include a Red Auerbach autographed basketball, and a golf foursome with GW women’s basketball coach Joe McKeown.

Maybe it would be best to first thank all of my dear friends at Au Bon Pain for their delicious sandwich, drink and chocolate-chip cookie combo. Not that we’ve seen the end of one another, but I think it’s a nice gesture to a least mention the place that has probably taken thousands from me […]
There is no excuse for derogatory remarks directed towards anyone of any creed, race, gender or sexual orientation. However, an even more deplorable action is to remove one’s ability to make such remarks. I make this statement in reference to Thursday’s article entitled “SJS examines fraternity” (p. 1). While I would never condone the decidedly […]
