Crime log: Man drives off in stolen car at GW Hospital

Theft I/From Motor Vehicle, Credit Card Fraud

Multiple male and female students reported their personal items stolen while attending an off-campus event sponsored by GW. Cellphones, credit cards, clothes and bags were missing from their van at a rowing event in Virginia.

Attempt to Commit Robbery

4/20/21 – 3:57-4:22 p.m.
Closed Case

An unknown suspect tried to pull a cup full of change from the victim’s hand.

– Cleared by arrest.

Theft I/Stolen Auto

GW Hospital
4/23/21 – 6:05-7:14 p.m.
Open Case

A pie vendor at the GW Hospital was loading items into his vehicle and left his keys in the ignition of the car. A Black male subject entered the car without permission and drove off with the victim’s keys, car registration and cell phone. The subject was last seen traveling southbound on the 900 block of 23rd Street.
