Crime log: GWPD officers issue bar notice to man sleeping in District House

GW Police Department officers responded to a report from the Metropolitan Police Department of a suspicious male subject near JBKO Hall. Upon arrival, MPD officers had placed the subject under arrest for indecent exposure toward a female victim a block away from campus. GWPD officers barred the subject from campus.

– Subject arrested.

Destruction of Property/Vandalism, Threats in a Menacing Manner

GWPD officers responded to a report of destruction of property. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female complainant who reported that an unknown male subject became agitated with her over the price of a product and started to insult her. The complainant further stated that the subject broke the credit card machine and threatened to wait for her outside. Officers canvassed the area with negative findings.

Theft II/from Motor Vehicle

A female student reported $10 stolen from the center counter of her vehicle. No signs of a break-in were reported.

GWPD officers observed an unknown male subject sleeping in District House, issued the man a bar notice and escorted him off the property.

– Subject barred.

Simple Assault, Harassment (Verbal or Written)

A male student reported he was a victim of a simple assault in a McDonalds in Seoul, South Korea. The victim reported the male subject, also a GW student, approached and pushed him while yelling insults instructing him to “go back to your country.”

A male staff member reported several unknown subjects hijacked a public forum Zoom meeting. The subjects shouted racial epithets and shared pornographic material for 30 seconds.

10/30/2020 – 6:45 p.m.
Closed Case

GWPD officers observed a previously barred male subject in the GW Garage. Officers issued the subject an updated bar notice and sent him away from the scene.
