A person stole 40 Slim Jims from the CVS located at The Shops at 2000 Penn Wednesday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report.

The report states the suspect entered the CVS at about 5:53 p.m. and grabbed $74 worth of Slim Jims before leaving the store without paying. The perpetrator is charged with second degree theft, according to the report.

A person named Michael Mana reported the crime to MPD at 6:37 p.m., and officer Latasha Brown responded to the scene, the report states. Mana could not be reached for comment.

MPD spokeswoman Alaina Gertz said no arrests have been made as the case is under “active investigation.” Gertz declined to comment on potential suspects and whether Mana is a CVS employee.
