A Nationals fan celebrates the team’s World Series victory. Before the win, D.C. hadn’t seen a World Series game since 1933.

Thousands of people flocked to the perimeter of Nationals Park after the team clinched a historic World Series championship against the Houston Astros Wednesday. Washington has not seen a World Series game since 1933.
