Man riding scooter robs 7-Eleven

GW Police Department and Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of forced robbery at 7-Eleven Monday.

At about 5 p.m., a suspect reportedly robbed the 7-Eleven at 514 19th St. NW while riding an orange Jump scooter. The subject was described as an African American male between the ages of 20 and 30. He was wearing a gray shirt short sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt wrapped around the waist, blue jeans, black shoes and red headphones, the report states.

The suspect used physical force in the robbery but did not use a weapon, University spokeswoman Crystal Nosal said. She said the suspect stole money at 7-Eleven.

GWPD and MPD officers are canvassing the scene, the alert states.
