GWPD, MPD respond to Marvin Center robbery

GW Police Department and Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a report of robbery on the first floor of the Marvin Center at about 2 a.m. Saturday morning, according to a GW Alert sent shortly after the incident.

“The suspect is a black male 30 to 35 years of age, slick back hair, wearing a black sweatshirt with wear on the elbows and black shoes,” the alert states. “GWPD and MPD are canvassing the area.”

Students received an alert at about 3:15 a.m. that the suspect had left the area and GWPD officers would remain in the Marvin Center.
