Crime log: Property stolen from Smith Center found in Amsterdam room

GW Police Department officers responded to a report that an unknown male subject struck an individual in the face on the corner of 22nd and I streets. GWPD and Metropolitan Police Department officers canvassed the surrounding area but could not locate the subject.

A male student reported that someone stole his bike which was secured to a rack in University Yard.

A GWPD officer observed a male individual who was previously barred from campus while on patrol at 7-Eleven. The officer issued the individual an updated bar notice and escorted him out of the store.

A male student reported that an unknown female subject whom he met over a dating app blackmailed him.

A faculty member reported that someone destroyed her desk drawer inside her second-floor office. Nothing was taken. MPD responded to the scene and issued a report.

GWPD officers who responded to a fire alarm in Amsterdam Hall found Smith Center property in the student’s room where the fire was reported.

A non-GW affiliated male individual reported someone stole a tool from his work truck outside Lisner Auditorium.

Theft II/Bicycles, Threats in a Menacing Manner

Shenkman Hall (Food Court)

A male subject unaffiliated with GW reported that someone took a threat stance against him. The man also reported that a bicycle was stolen from him before he entered Shenkman Hall.
