Three people on a scooter attempt robbery on 21st and E streets

Three people on scooters attempted to steal a man’s phone outside the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina Saturday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department.

A man reported to MPD that three people riding motorized scooters attempted to steal his phone from his hands while he was walking his dog at about 1:30 a.m., according to the report. The incident occurred near the intersection of 21st and E streets NW.

The suspects were described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 24 and weighing between 240 and 250 pounds, a black male between the ages of 16 and 20 with a slim build and a black female between the ages of 18 and 20, according to an alert sent to students. The suspects were last seen heading south on Virginia Avenue, the alert states.

The alert states GW Police Department officers and MPD officers are on scene investigating.
