Person steals iPhone from student in Marvin Center

A person stole a student’s cell phone from the Marvin Center Friday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report.

A male student told MPD officers that he was with a female student in room 417 at about 12:15 p.m. when the pair noticed three people “roaming” the Marvin Center, the report states. He saw the subjects make “eye contact” with him and “flee the location,” according to the report.

The male student reported that one of the subjects stole his backpack, which he retrieved after chasing the subjects, but one of the subjects stole the female student’s iPhone 6.

The case is open.
