Man arrested after threatening to shoot two women at GW Hospital

Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested a man at the GW Hospital Sunday for threatening to shoot two women.

A man reported to MPD that Maurice Best made threatening comments to two women in the emergency room at about 1:50 p.m., according to an MPD report. The report states Best asked the women where his “red bag” was.

“Keep your hands off my stuff otherwise I’m going to shoot you all,” Best told the women, according to the report. “Don’t touch me or I’m going to punch you in the face. You all don’t know me. I’m going to come back and shoot you all.”

MPD officers arrested Best for threats to injure or kidnap a person and transported him to the Second District police station for processing, according to the report.
