Person arrested outside Elliott School for possession, transportation of drugs

A Metropolitan Police Department officer and a Secret Service officer arrested a person outside the Elliott School of International Affairs for possession and transportation of drugs on Saturday.

A Secret Service officer responded to a report from an MPD officer who conducted a traffic stop at about 4:45 p.m. and found marijuana and THC products in the subject’s vehicle, the report states. The reporting MPD officer searched the vehicle and found “a large amount of green leafy substance” in two plastic bags, which tested positive for THC.

The officer also found a “white powdery substance” in a $20 bill, which tested positive for cocaine, according to the report.

The officers arrested the subject for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a controlled substance – cocaine – the report states.
