Crime log: Student hit by car on H Street crosswalk

A male Panera Bread employee reported to the GW Police Department that his cellphone was stolen after he left it in the first-floor men’s bathroom.

Threat to do Bodily Harm, Disorderly Conduct, Urinating or Defecating in Public

A male Foggy Bottom resident reported to GWPD that his neighbors, who he said may be GW students, were playing loud music and acting disorderly. When the resident asked the neighbors to lower their music, a male subject threatened the resident and his girlfriend and then urinated in public. Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the scene and told the residents to turn the music down and go inside.

– Referred to the Office of Enrollment and the Student Experience.

Simple Assault

GWPD responded to a report that a female student had been physically assaulted by her roommate after an argument. GWPD arrested the roommate, and MPD transported her to the Second District police station for processing.

Destruction of Property/Vandalism, Theft II/From Building

GWPD officers responded to a report of theft from the GW Bookstore on the lower level of the Marvin Center. A male subject unaffiliated with GW stole a pair of sunglass lenses. The store manager identified the subject, and officers told him to return the merchandise. Officers escorted the subject from the building and issued him a bar notice.

A female student reported that a poster taped on her residence hall room door was burned around the edges.

Disorderly Conduct

GWPD responded to a report of a disorderly female unaffiliated with the University yelling and cursing at staff because they would not let her enter South Block. Officers issued the woman a bar notice and escorted her out of the building.

Theft II/From Building, Credit Card Fraud

A student reported that her GWorld card was stolen, and she had noticed three unauthorized charges on her account. There is limited information about the total amount of the charges.

Traffic Accident: Hit and Run

GWPD responded to a report of a female student who was struck by a vehicle while crossing H Street. The driver pulled over, apologized to the student and drove away. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and assessed the student’s foot injuries, but she refused to be transported to the GW Hospital. MPD responded and also took a report.
