Crime log: Man steals ice cream tub from Dunkin’ Donuts

The GW Police Department responded to a report that a male subject unaffiliated with the University had stolen a tub of ice cream from Dunkin’ Donuts the day before. Officers found the subject, issued him a bar notice and escorted him off campus.

A female student reported that a male student had sent her several unwanted text messages and direct messages through social media. There is limited information about the content of the messages.

GWPD officers responded to the food court area for a report of a physical altercation between two female subjects unaffiliated with GW. Officers arrested the two subjects and transported them to GW Hospital for minor injuries. Officers then transported them to the Second District police station for processing.

GWPD received a report from the Metropolitan Police Department that a male student was assaulted by another male student. MPD stated that it would pursue an arrest warrant for the involved suspect. There is limited information about the altercation.

Disorderly Conduct/Unlawful Entry

Officers approached a male subject unaffiliated with GW who was asleep in Shenkman Hall’s food court area after hours. Upon making contact with the subject, he became disorderly, uncooperative with officers and refused to leave the premises. Officers arrested the subject and issued him a bar notice. MPD responded and transported the subject to the Second District police station for processing.

3/28/2019 – 2:42 a.m.

Officers responded to Guthridge Hall for a possible physical altercation. Officers made contact with a female student and her boyfriend, who is not affiliated with GW. The student reported that the male subject assaulted her and damaged the glass stovetop in her residence hall room. Officers noticed drug paraphernalia, which tested positive for marijuana. MPD responded and placed the male subject under arrest and transported him to the Second District police station for processing. GWPD issued the male subject a bar notice.
