The Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report from a female contractor that an unknown male subject stole her purse and ran away. The subject was apprehended at the intersection of 23rd and I streets by two males unaffiliated with GW and held down until MPD arrived. GW Police Department officers then responded to the scene and issued the subject a bar notice.

– Subject arrested.

Unlawful Entry, Harassment (Verbal or Written)

Academic Center

GWPD officers observed an unknown male shouting at pedestrians while riding his bicycle. Officers stopped the male subject at the Academic Center and discovered that he had been previously barred from campus. GWPD issued a second bar notice to the subject.

Public Drunkenness

GWPD observed an intoxicated male student who was unable to stand upright on his own. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services evaluated the student, who did not know the time, his location or who he was. The subject believed it was Christmas Eve in 1999 and was transported to the GW Hospital emergency room.

– Referred to the Office of Enrollment and the Student Experience.

Theft II/From Building, Destruction of Property/Vandalism, Credit Card Fraud

A female staff member reported to GWPD that upon returning to her office after winter break, she found her office in disarray. The staff member also reported that one of her credit cards had been stolen, and there were unauthorized charges made on her card.

GWPD observed an unknown male subject urinating on a wall of the Science and Engineering Hall. The subject, who had an open bottle of wine, was issued a bar notice and escorted from campus.

Threats in a Menacing Manner

A male student reported to GWPD that his roommate had made derogatory and demeaning remarks toward him.

Drug Violation, Weapons Violation

Marvin Center Garage
1/4/2019 – 6 p.m.

While on routine patrol, GWPD officers smelled burning marijuana and discovered two unknown male subjects and one unknown female subject in the garage. One of the male subjects had an illegal pocket knife, which was confiscated. All subjects were issued a bar notice and escorted from campus.

Simple Assault, Attempt Theft

GWPD responded to a report that an unknown female subject was attempting to steal drinks from the refrigerator at the Dunkin’ Donuts. Upon arriving at the scene, GWPD observed the subject grabbing the wrist of a female employee. The subject was escorted and barred from campus.
