The first day of the spring 2019 semester will be pushed back a day.

The University will be closed Monday after roughly six to 10 inches of snow accumulated in the District this weekend. All classes, offices, events and activities will be canceled, according to a University advisory issued at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

The closure includes events on the Foggy Bottom, Mount Vernon and Virginia Science and Technology campuses and other locations throughout the Arlington and D.C. metropolitan areas.

D.C. public schools, the city government and several other D.C. universities will also be closed Monday.
