Crime log: Nissan hits student riding bike on F Street

A male student reported to the GW Police Department that another male student threatened him during an altercation at the Workforce Building at the Woodbridge, Va. campus. A campus security authority filed a report on the student’s behalf, and a couple of days later the student filed a report with GWPD.

A female student reported to GWPD that an unknown male verbally harassed her while she walked from her residence hall to Gelman Library. There is limited information about what the male individual said.

Theft II/From Building

GWPD responded to a report that an individual stole merchandise from Gallery Market. While reviewing surveillance footage, the store manager saw an unknown male individual take a bottle of Orangina out of the refrigerator, drink it and then place it on top of the refrigerator. After a couple of minutes, the individual took the bottle, discarded it and left the store.

– No identifiable suspect.

An individual reported a sexual assault to a campus security authority. The individual did not file a Metropolitan Police Department report. There is limited information available.

Traffic Accident: Hit and Run

A male student reported to GWPD that a Nissan struck him while he was riding his bicycle down the street. The car drove away after hitting him.

GWPD responded to a report of an intoxicated female in front of Shenkman Hall. Upon arrival, GWPD officers made contact with an intoxicated male and female student in a verbal altercation on the street. MPD responded, interviewed both students and cleared them to leave.

A GWPD officer observed Sharpie marked on the seventh-floor stairwell in Gelman Library.

– No suspects or witnesses.

Liquor Law Violation

Thurston Hall

GWPD responded to Thurston Hall for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, GWPD officers observed alcohol in plain view inside one of the residence hall rooms. Officers disposed of the alcohol and the students passed the field sobriety tests.
