The scoreboard was lowered to about eight feet above the court to conduct maintenance on it.

The scoreboard fell onto the court at the Smith Center Tuesday afternoon.

The scoreboard was lowered about eight feet above the court to conduct maintenance, and as it was being raised back up to its typical position, a pulley slipped and one side of the scoreboard fell onto the court, according to athletic department spokesman Brian Sereno.

The incident caused no injuries, he said.

Damage caused by the incident is unknown at the moment and is still being assessed, Sereno said.
