MPD searching for suspect who unlawfully entered Greek townhouse

Metropolitan Police Department officers are searching for a suspect who unlawfully entered a Greek townhouse and stole a laptop Sunday, according to a police report.

At about 10 a.m., a woman living in the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house said she woke up to find a suspect entering her bedroom. The suspect waved to her and stepped back out of the room, the report states.

After she consulted with other residents of the house, the woman notified the police, and while they interviewed her, she discovered her laptop computer was missing, according to the report.

Her laptop was last seen in the common living room space of the fraternity house at about 2 a.m., the report states.

MPD spokeswoman Brianna Jordan said the department cannot release any additional details about the suspect, citing a policy to not comment on cases under investigation.
