A woman visiting the GW Hospital was robbed of her wallet Tuesday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report.
The woman, who was visiting a relative at the hospital, was either in a private room or in the cafeteria when a suspect removed her wallet from her purse. The suspect took three identification cards, four credit and debit cards and $2 in cash, the report states.
The suspect then used one debit and one credit card to purchase about $212 worth of merchandise at a CVS Pharmacy on M Street, according to the report.
Hugh Carew, an MPD public information officer, said the suspect is still unknown and the case remains under investigation.
