Crime log: Crying student creates repeated disturbances in Elliott School

A sexual assault was reported to a campus security authority, but the person did not file a police report. There is limited information.

Disorderly conduct

Several staff members reported to George Washington Police Department officers that a female student created repeated disturbances in their offices in the Elliott School. The student visited the staff members’ offices multiple times, cried and became overly emotional. She refused to leave on multiple occasions, but there was no violent behavior.

Theft II/From Building

2100 Pennsylvania Ave. (T.G.I. Friday’s)
Case Closed

A female student reported to GWPD that she left her laptop computer at T.G.I. Friday’s. She followed up with the restaurant’s staff members, who told her that the laptop had not been turned in. The student then contacted the Metropolitan Police Department.

–Referred to MPD.

Possession of Drugs/Sale or Manufacturing Drugs

A female student reported to GWPD that she witnessed a drug sale in the back of 2109 F St. from her residence hall room. GWPD arrested the subjects – who were unaffiliated with the University – for selling marijuana, and MPD transported them for processing.

–Subjects arrested.

Destruction of property/harassment

GWPD responded to a report from two female roommates in Amsterdam Hall who said two other female students from separate floors harassed them online, in text and in person. The roommates said the two girls also destroyed the nametags on their residence hall room door.

Disorderly Conduct/Unlawful Entry

GWPD responded to a report of a male individual in his mid-30s, who had been previously barred from campus, masturbating on the patio at Funger Hall. GWPD arrested him and MPD transported him to the Second District police station for processing.

–Subject arrested.

A female faculty member reported to GWPD that she left her purse unattended inside a classroom and when she returned a few days later, she noticed her wallet, driver’s license and credit cards were missing from her purse.

–No suspects or witnesses.

Panhandling

Shenkman Hall
Case Closed

GWPD responded to a report of a female subject in her mid-20s panhandling in the Shenkman Hall food court area. GWPD issued her a bar notice and escorted her from the building.
