Sophomores on the dining plan would have to spend no more than $12 a day to make their dining dollars last for the entire semester.
The Hatchet followed sophomore Robert Mathern as he tried to stay on budget with the dining plan for one week.
With 110 days in the fall semester, freshmen have about $18.64 to spend each day in dining cash, sophomores $12.27, juniors $10 and seniors $5.45. Every student who lives on campus is required to purchase a dining plan.
