The Hawaii Club hosted an event with fire and hula dancing in Kogan Plaza Thursday night.
Philip Dela Cruz, who is a medical student at GW, began dancing when he was 14 years old and took up fire dancing to entertain people. He and his wife, Shaylin, met at hula school. The couple said hula dancing helps them feel connected to their cultural roots.
