MPD arrests woman for pulling knife on man near Townhouse Row

A 53-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly pulling a knife on a man and threatening to stab him in front of Townhouse Row.

Jacquelyn Portee, 53, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, according to a release from the Metropolitan Police Department.

The victim told police that at about 5:29 p.m. Wednesday he and Portee had been involved in an argument at Miriam’s Kitchen, a homeless advocacy organization located on Virginia Avenue. The victim left after Portee allegedly became “unreasonably angry,” according to an MPD report.

Portee then followed the man to the intersection of G and 23rd streets and allegedly pulled out a knife saying, “I will stab your ass,” before leaving the scene, according to the report.

MPD recovered the knife when Portee was arrested, according to the report.
