Crime log: Female student reportedly assaulted outside Duques Hall

The University Police Department responded to a report of an intoxicated female student. When UPD arrived, the subject became disorderly and uncooperative. D.C. Fire and EMS arrived on the scene and the subject was transported to the GW Hospital emergency room for medical treatment.

Referred to the Division of Student Affairs.

False Fire Alarm

UPD responded to a report of a fire alarm activation with an evacuation in progress. The alarm was trigged when a pull station in the building was activated. There was no sign of smoke or fire.

No suspects or witnesses.

Simple Assault/Assault on a Police Officer

UPD responded to the area of 22nd and I streets for a report of an assault on a male staff member by an individual not affiliated with the University. While responding to the scene, multiple UPD officers were assaulted by the same male subject. The Metropolitan Police Department was notified and responded to the scene. MPD arrested the individual and UPD barred him from GW property. MPD transported the individual to the Section District station for processing.

A UPD officer observed black Sharpie graffiti within two of the Potomac House elevators.

No suspects or witnesses.

Assault w/Dangerous Weapons

MPD contacted UPD because of an assualt with a deadly weapon that occured on campus. The two male subjects were not affiliated with the University.

No identifiable suspect.

A male staff member reported to UPD that an Apple TV was stolen from a classroom.

A male faculty member and a GW alumnus reported to UPD that a suitcase and black duffle bag were stolen from their vehicle while parked along the 2200 block of 22nd Street.

Sexual Assault/Simple Assault (Dating Violence)/Disorderly Conduct Intoxication/Liquor Law Violation

While on patrol, UPD officers observed an unknown male subject assaulting a female student in front of Duques Hall. Officers pursued the male subject for questioning but were unsuccessful in their pursuit. Officers made contact with the female student and determined she was intoxicated. EMeRG arrived on the scene to evaluate the student. During the evaluation, the female student became disorderly and uncooperative with UPD officers and EMeRG personnel. The student stated at the scene that she had been sexually assaulted. EMeRG transported the student to the Washington Hospital Center for further evaluation.
