Baseball released its full schedule for the upcoming 2018 season Wednesday, revealing three more home games than last year’s slate and early season road trips to Florida and Texas.

The Colonials – who finished last year with a 31-27 record and fell in the second day of the Atlantic 10 championship – will begin the year Feb. 16 in Boca Raton, Fla., where they will take on Florida Atlantic.

They will host their first of 28 home games at Tucker Field Feb. 27 in a mid-week game against Georgetown. The Hoyas defeated GW in both of last season’s matchups between the two squads.

For the opening weekend of spring break, GW will travel down to Waco, Texas to take on Baylor for a three-game series and a mid-week game against Minnesota in Dallas.

At the end of April, the Colonials go on a nine-game road trip that includes a Tuesday game against Virginia – who finished last season ranked the highest out of GW’s 2018 opponents at No. 22 in the nation.

A-10 action begins with La Salle coming into town for a weekend series on the tail end of a seven-game homestand March 23-25.

The Colonials conclude their regular season schedule with two home conference series, against George Mason and VCU, and a road series at Saint Louis.

GW graduated five of their everyday starters last season and its saves leader for the past three seasons. The 2018 team will include 13 newcomers, eight of whom are freshmen.
