Suspect broke into car on 23rd Street, stole property

An unknown suspect smashed into a car parked on 23rd Street near Amsterdam Hall last month, according to police.

The suspect broke into the rear passenger window of a Honda Pilot on June 29 and stole clothing, shoes, toiletries, a black duffel bag, a Timberland backpack, Beats headphones and Apple chargers, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report released last week.

University Police Department officers found all the stolen property, except for the Beats and Apple chargers, in the bushes behind Shenkman Hall, according to the report.

The case remains open, according to the report.
