Man threatened with gun, bike stolen outside Lafayette Hall

A man reported a robbery after he said two people threatened him with a gun and stole his bike outside of Lafayette Hall early Saturday morning, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report.

At about 12:13 a.m., the man told police he was riding the bike west on the 2100 block of I Street when he saw two individuals riding a bike close behind him. The first male subject was standing and pedaling, and a second female subject was sitting, according to the report.

The man was bringing the bike up the ramp of Lafayette Hall when the first subject jumped off the bike and confronted him, according to the report.

“If you don’t want to get shot, give me the bike,” the first subject said pointing to his black backpack, according to the report.

No weapon was scene during the incident, but the man gave the suspect the bike and he rode eastbound with the female subject, the report states.

The case remains open.
