Crime log – Man barred after harassing students in Marvin Center

The University Police Department responded to a report of a male unaffiliated with the University who was harassing female students in the Marvin Center. Officers stopped the male subject, issued him a barring notice and escorted him out of the building.

Subject barred.

A female student reported to UPD that her ex-boyfriend was sending her harassing text messages while they both were studying in Himmelfarb Library.

Referred to the Division of Student Affairs.

Attempted Robbery

UPD responded to a report of attempted robbery that occurred inside the Potbelly Sandwich Shop. The male subject, who was not armed and did not take any property, fled the area when UPD officers and the Metropolitan Police Department arrived.

Officers responded to a report of an unaffiliated individual making threats towards contractors from Aramark working in the building. The male subject left the building prior to UPD’s arrival.
