While your parents are in town, check out these D.C. stores that are just around the corner from campus.

Redeem
1810 14th St.
Showcasing looks from up-and-coming designers, Redeem provides modern, edgy fashions that play up neutral colors like gray, black and brown. This boutique specializes in contemporary styles, including asymmetrical blouses, dresses with graphic textiles and tailored jeans and shirts for men. For example, you can buy a Kai-Aakmann high-waisted, pattern pencil skirt for about $86.

Table Top
1608 20th St.
Although the shop looks tiny when you walk buy, Table Top has a wide selection of merchandise, including modern earrings, functional bags and water bottles, and playful home decor accessories that work in any dorm room. Necklaces and earrings range from $50 to $100.

Lou Lou Boutique
1623 Connecticut Ave.
If you’re looking for a unique accessory, such as a fall scarf or a bold, beaded necklace, Lou Lou Boutique is the place for you. The “Delicate Kate” necklace or the circle diamond brooch are signature pieces for this fall season that you will not find back home. Necklaces can range from $20 to $30, while handbags can range from $30 to $90.

Nordstrom Rack
1800 L St.
If you’re not sure where to begin your fashion adventure, Nordstrom Rack is a good place to start. Known for its discounted, designer fashions, Nordstrom Rack has both men’s and women’s fashion, so you, Mom, Dad and your siblings can find fall styles like a cozy, knit sweater or a classic hoodie.

Kramerbooks
1517 Connecticut Ave.
A restaurant and a bookstore, Kramerbooks is a unique place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with your parents. The Kramerbooks bookstore not only has a distinguished reputation as the only bookstore in the District with a full-service restaurant, but also has musical guests that perform Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
