A veteran professor in the GW School of Business will take over next month as the interim associate dean of undergraduate programs, according to a release on Tuesday.

Professor Leo Moersen has served as an associate professor of accountancy and business law since 1984, according to the release. The former associate dean of undergraduate programs, Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou announced in April that she was hired as dean of McGill University’s school of business and would be leaving GW this fall.

Dean Linda Livingstone said in the release that Moersen is “deeply committed to student learning and engagement.”

Moersen has been the director of the master’s in accountancy program since 2012. He also oversaw the business school’s living and learning community for first-year students, worked as a faculty guide and founded the GWSB Summer Business Institute, according to the release.
