Its storefront on U Street is easy to miss, but Oohh’s & Aahh’s is home to some of the best soul food in D.C.
The restaurant has received the Washingtonian’s “Cheap Eats” award with the majority of its entrees under $20, and the magazine has picked Oohh’s & Aahh’s for “Best Macaroni and Cheese.” It was also featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” hosted by chef Guy Fieri.
“I like to say all the time – good food is my specialty,” said Oji Abbott, executive chef and owner of the restaurant.
