University Police Department responded to a report of a homeless man “aggressively panhandling” in the store. The man fled the store prior to the officers’ arrival.

9/18/14 – Noon to 2:45 p.m.
Case closed

A man not affiliated with GW reported that his bike was stolen after he had secured it to a fence earlier in the day.

– No suspects or witnesses

Disorderly Conduct

9/19/14 – 6:14 p.m.
Case closed

A 7-Eleven employee reported a man he believed was stealing. The man was identified and barred from campus.

Theft

2100 Block of G Street
9/19/14 – 8:40 p.m.
Case closed

GW Parking Services had previously reported the theft of a vehicle, and then observed the vehicle on campus. Further investigation revealed that the suspect was an employee of Tonic, who was then arrested.

UPD observed two students smoking marijuana in an elevator. An administrative search was then conducted of the student’s room, which yielded 16 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

9/21/14 – 3:07 a.m.

UPD responded to a report of a student and his guest arguing. The two men were separated and the non-GW affiliated man was barred from campus.

University Yard
9/23/14 – 12:43 p.m.
Case closed

While conducting an undercover operation aimed at combating bicycle theft, UPD and Metropolitan Police Department officers observed a subject stealing a bicycle. The man was stopped and arrested.
