A woman reported that a man had struck her with the butt of a pistol in an office building next to The Dakota. She suffered a gash to her forehead. The suspect fled the scene in a black BMW.

5/30/14 – 12:05 p.m.

A pedestrian walking through campus reported being smacked on the back of the head by a man riding an orange bicycle.

Robbery
Riverside Liquors
7/15/14 – 2:10 p.m.
Case closed

Riverside Liquors reported that a man who claimed he had a gun took an unconfirmed amount of money from the store. The suspect never revealed a weapon. MPD did not think the subject was actually armed. The University sent an alert to students about the incident.

Sexual Assault
23rd and H streets
8/2/14 – 12:09 a.m.
Case closed

A taxi cab driver allegedy sexually assaulted a woman near Tompkins Hall. The woman had hailed a silver taxi van from Georgetown to Foggy Bottom, and reported that the driver tried to have sex with her after he pulled over. The victim then ran out of the van, and a pedestrian activated GW’s blue light emergency system to alert campus police.

The woman was not a student, according to a campus-wide alert
