Lewd and obsence acts: Sexual highlights from the crime log

Thurston Hall may be one of the most sexually active dorms in the country, but GW’s raunchiness goes far beyond.

From the Marvin Center to Gelbucks, GW couples and Foggy Bottom haven’t let public spaces intimidate them.

Here’s a list of the crime log’s most memorably lewd and obscene acts over the last two years.

1. On Jan. 27, two juveniles were spotted engaging in consensual sexual activity in the Marvin Center by a staff member. After Metropolitan Police Department officers interrogated both juveniles, they were released.

2. Last October, a female student reported to UPD that a male student was masturbating in the Madison Hall laundry room. Though the suspect tried to flee the scene, University Police Department officers found him and referred him to disciplinary action.

3. Over the summer, a UPD officer discovered two summer residents enjoying the balmy weather by having sex in Veterans Park.

4. Back in October 2012, two nude students were discovered having sex in the West End basement lounge.
They were referred for disciplinary action.

5. Just a few weeks into the school year, an officer encountered two students around 1:30 a.m. who were about to engage in a sexual act. The male was indecently exposed, and both students were assessed and found to have been drinking.

6. A house staff member found a male and female student having sex in a multipurpose room in South Hall around 9:45 p.m. back in April 2012.
