D.C. gay bars celebrate SCOTUS rulings

The rulings on the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8 Wednesday morning prompted celebration at the Supreme Court, but a bevy of venues are extending festivities across the District.

Attaching a rainbow flag to the top of the building was just the beginning of Cobalt’s celebration: the club opened at noon today and is selling discount beers until 9 p.m.
