Each week, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association releases rankings based on the week’s performances, and this time around, GW has garnered the No. 66 position in the nation.

The tandem pair of sophomore Francisco Dias and senior Leonardo Lapentti earned further accolades by being tabbed as the No. 80 doubles position in the nation.

This is no small feat. GW has not had a doubles ranking, nationally, since 2010. Lapentti and Dias have a 9-0 record on the season’s competition.

Additionally, freshman Danil Zelenkov is the Atlantic 10 rookie of the week, after turning an undefeated weekend of play for the Colonials. It’s his third rookie of the week nod of the year, the most for any A-10 freshman.
