MPD investigating sexual abuse reported at fraternity townhouse

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an alleged sexual abuse at the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity townhouse Saturday.

University Police Chief Kevin Hay said a woman reported that while in the townhouse at 621 22nd St., a man “fondled her inappropriately.” The incident occurred between 2 a.m. and 2:45 a.m., according to the crime log.

Hay said a friend helped the alleged victim leave, and they reported the incident to UPD. UPD officers located the suspect and called in MPD to investigate.
