Duques Hall 02/11/13 – 12:15 p.m.
A female student reported seeing a man who she believed to be homeless touching himself in a study area. He fled the scene before University Police Department officers arrived.

Virginia Science and Technology Campus 02/11/13 – 11 to 11:50 p.m. Case closed
A security officer assigned to the campus engaged in a physical altercation with her boyfriend.
Referred to security department

Robbery Pick Pocket

Off Campus 02/12/13 – 2 to 2:40 p.m. Case open
A student at Jetties restaurant reported that his laptop was stolen from his backpack, which he had set down next to him.
Referred to the Metropolitan Police Department

Drug Law Violation/Possession of Fireworks

Schenley Hall 02/15/13 – 12:01 a.m.
UPD responded to a report of a suspicious odor. Housing staff conducted an administrative search, which yielded 3.5 grams of marijuana, paraphernalia and fireworks, which were taken to the fire station at 2119 G St. for disposal.

Attempted Theft

Thurston Hall 02/16/13 – 9:05 a.m. Case closed
UPD stopped an unaffiliated male subject who was attempting to take a used kitchen range from the loading dock area. He was detained, and MPD was notified. The subject was released and barred from campus once facilities services indicated that the range was intended to be discarded.

A contractor reported that he was missing about $1,000 in copper piping.

Science and Engineering Hall construction site 02/15/13 – Midnight Case closed
Two students were caught trespassing inside the construction site.
