Freshman Victoria Valos is the Atlantic 10 Softball Rookie of the Week after impressive outings against Temple and Saint Joseph’s over the weekend.

In four games, Valos scored four runs and drove five home, hitting a double and two homers. She also hit at least one RBI in each of the four games against GW’s A-10 opponents. Against Temple Thursday and Friday, Valos scored a home run in each contest. In a double-header against Saint Joseph’s Saturday, Valos went 4-for-6 in both games, including 3-for-3 in the first.

The shortstop currently leads GW with 20 RBIs and 15 extra-base hits this season. Valos also boasts a five-game hit streak. She and the rest of the Colonials will take on George Mason Wednesday.
