Senior center Megan Walker is the CWPA Southern Division Player of the Week, after she led the Colonials with 15 points on nine goals and six assists over three games last weekend.
Turning a complete performance on both sides of the pool, Walker added a team-high six steals, eight ejections drawn and two penalties drawn.
Friday against Princeton, Walker paced GW during its 13-9 loss, posting game-bests in goals, with four, and ejections drawn, with five. During the Colonials’ contest against Harvard Saturday, she added five points on three goals and two assists along with two steals and a pair of drawn penalty shots. Walker’s best performance of the weekend came during the Saturday nightcap against Mercyhurst, netting six points on two goals and four assists, while adding three steals, a block and three ejections drawn in the 13-7 victory.
The senior leads the team with 51 ejections drawn and ranks fourth on the team with 28 goals and 39 points for the season. Walker and the Colonials next head to College Park, Md., Friday, to take on Michigan.
