Student leaders are making their peers an offer – donate a piece of clothing from another college and get a GW t-shirt for free.

The first 100 students who bring a piece of rival apparel to this Saturday’s men’s basketball game will receive a free GW t-shirt. The homecoming game starts at 4 p.m.

Hugo Scheckter, director of student athletes for the Student Association, said he organized the clothing swap with the help of the GW Licensing and Trademarks Program to foster community spirit.

“[We] were sick and tired of seeing GW students wearing other college’s apparel – especially with so many students complaining about the lack of school spirit on campus,”  Scheckter said.

The donated shirts will be given to local charities.
