Inspiration: Street styles
Outfit: Shoes, Via Spiga; jeans, Genetic Denim; dress, BCBG; Sweater, Nordstrom; scarf, Stella McCartney; sunglasses, Yves Saint Laurent

Balmy days and chilly evenings have become the norm for February in D.C. With such unpredictable weather, senior Blair Hakimian opts for layers. From head to toe, Hakimian epitomizes the chic, layered look. Paired with black jeans, her lace-trimmed dress adds the perfect dose of femininity to her predominantly black ensemble. She finishes off her outfit with a cozy wrap sweater, gray scarf and classic black Oxfords. And of course, what outfit would be complete without a great pair of oversized sunglasses?

Christina Viscelli. Vanessa Karimi | Hatchet Photographer

Looking comfortable yet stylish on her way to class, freshman Christina Viscelli pairs her favorite one-of-a-kind pieces with sensible basics. Viscelli wears a hand-me-down jacket from her sister with a warm sweater. She also sports a versatile pair of T.J. Maxx jeans, an economical option for any college student. She adds a belt, found in a German flea market, and a pair of desert boots. To complete her outfit, Christina wears a scarf from Afghanistan, given to her by her brother, and an oversized bag and sunglasses.

Lee Seitz. Avra Bossov | Hatchet Photographer

Name: Lee Seitz
Year: 2015
Major: Political science

Outfit: Shirt, Nordstrom; vest, Brooks Brothers; pants, Banana Republic; belt, Italy; socks, Old Navy; shoes, Cole Haan; cufflinks, Dior; blazer, vintage; bow tie, Brooks Brothers; bag, Jansport; sunglasses, Ray-Ban

It wasn’t difficult to spot this stylish stud with his two-tone Ray-Bans and colorful bow tie. Freshman Lee Seitz pairs his favorite Brooks Brothers bow tie with a navy blazer, tweed vest and blue dress shirt complete with cuff links. The wool and cashmere blazer, a hand-me-down from his father, is a perfect match with the classic pair of chino pants. He finishes off his ensemble with blue argyle socks, Cole Haan dress shoes and a belt found in Italy. His trusty cross body bag – a practical alternative to a bulky backpack – only adds to the stylish look.
