Despite multiple Colonials improving upon their individual scores from last weekend’s season opener, GW fell Saturday 195.900-188.900 at Ohio State.

Freshman Elena Corcoran improved her vault score to a 9.700, finishing sixth overall, but it wasn’t enough to boost the Colonials past the Buckeyes. The Colonials best event of the afternoon was the floor exercise, where they scored 47.725 as a team, led by junior Stephanie Stoicovy’s 9.750. She was followed closely by freshman Courtney Willoughby, who improved her score from the prior week with a 9.675.

Both Stoicovy and Willoughby earned all-around honors in the meet. Stoicovy was awarded second place, scoring a total 38.800 and Willoughby finished third with a 37.425.

The Colonials next head to face EAGL foe West Virginia Jan. 29.
