Power forward Kyprianos Maragkos signed his National Letter of Intent for GW yesterday, after committing to the Colonials in October.
His signing was announced by the Blue Ridge School’s Twitter feed, Maragkos’s high school in Charlottesville, Va.,
Maragkos is ranked by Eurohopes.com as the ninth-best overall prospect in Europe for players born in 1994. The 6-foot-9, 220 pound big man averaged 9.7 points and 4.3 rebounds this July for his U-18 Greece team that competed in the European championships.
Fellow 2012-2013 recruit Kethan Savage also signed his National Letter of Intent yesterday. Forward Patricio Garino rounds out the incoming Colonials recruiting class, the first of Mike Lonergan’s career as head coach.
