Hopefully your costume is ready and you have room left for candy because Halloween has finally arrived! Here are some ways to keep the fun going this week.

  • Join the crowd at Lima tonight for free salsa lessons starting at 9 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best male and female costumes. Admission is free until 11 p.m., with a $10 cover charge the rest of the night.
  • In the mood for a masquerade ball? Come masked to the Dirty Martini’s first ever masquerade ball tonight at 8:30 p.m. benefiting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Tickets are $55 at the door. The event will include raffles and a costume contest. You must be 21 or older to attend.
  • If you need a break from the Halloween madness, go to the Verizon Center to cheer on the Capitals as they play the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $32.
  • If sports aren’t your thing, spend Tuesday night at the 9:30 Club, where indie-pop singer Annie Clark will perform. The event starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20 at the door.

And here’s something festive:
USA Today voted Nicki Minaj the number one costume idea for college students this year. Everyone start practicing your “Superbass” routines!
