Reel Affirmations presents ‘Dirty Girl’

As part of National Coming Out Week, the LGBT Resource Center is co-hosting the screening of “Dirty Girl,” a movie about a girl and her gay friend set in the 1980s.

Truckapalooza

More than 20 food trucks will be parked on H street, offering everything from cupcakes and macaroni cheese to kabobs and curry.
University Yard – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Octoberfest

Students and parents can carve pumpkins, make fall decorations and enjoy free food from the Mount Vernon Programming Council and the Office of the Dean of Students.
Mount Vernon Campus Quad – 2 to 5 p.m.


Saturday

La Fiestasa

The Latino Heritage Celebration’s finale will feature a live band, Latino food and traditional dances like the salsa, merengue and bachata.
Marvin Center Grand Ballroom – 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
